#DAWN OF WAR 2 ORKS UPGRADE#
As was said before, if you plan on engaging vehicles with your Nob squad, you'll want this upgrade as soon as possible if your enemy is using several vehicles and almost no infantry, you could justify even getting this before Meaner An' Greener. With 'Uge Hammers, your Nob squad will be an effective counter in melee combat against any enemy unit, be it infantry, a heavy vehicle, or some giant monster. The Nob Leader is only marginally more expensive than a regular Nob, costing twice as much power but taking up the same requisition and population.Įquipping your Nob squad with 'Uge Hammers is truly the icing on the cake with this unit, taking their already impressive melee damage through the roof against heavy targets such as enemy heavy infantry, commanders, vehicles, and buildings. The Nob Leader is an impressive addition to the Nob squad, giving it a fifth member who is tougher than the other four and also deals more damage. I typically add the Nob Leader first, but if you're expecting to face vehicles then 'Uge Hammers should take priority. For this reason, and since Frenzy has a 45 second cooldown time between uses, it's recommended to make sure that suppression isn't going to be a major factor before using it purely for the damage boost.Īfter you have researched Meaner An' Greener, you can choose to either add a Nob Leader, or equip your squad with 'Uge Hammers.

Frenzy also instantly restores your Nob squad to full Courage, and keeps them there for 10 seconds. It is a good buffing power, giving your Nobs +30% damage for it's full 10 second duration, but it really shines when your Nobs fall under attack by a machine gun team or some other weapon that causes suppression quickly. This upgrade is particularly important as it opens up the Frenzy squad power.įrenzy is not an upgrade on its own rather it is a unit power that is unlocked by researching Meaner An' Greener. Meaner An' Greener gives your Nob squad +25% Melee Skill and +15% Hit Points. Meaner An' Greener is a good first choice for a squad upgrade - it's relatively inexpensive (especially compared to the hefty 600/100 price tag on the squad itself), finishes quickly, and makes your squad more potent in combat against all targets and also more survivable. While they are all worth their price, I've listed them in the order that I personally feel is the most important. All of these upgrades are important and will make your expensive squad a much better investment. Ork Nob squads have a variety of upgrades available to them, as well as the option of attaching a Nob Leader just like most other Ork infantry units. Ork Nob Squads - Upgrades, Options, and Leaders
